Pre-Season 2024⭐️

Welcome to the 2024-2025 Birch Bots Blog! We are so excited to start the season, and share what’s going on with you all! In the beginning most of the build team was mainly just cleaning out the makerspace to get ready for the long road ahead of us! Although hard they continued to clean up to be able to have a clean slate ready for the upcoming season. Next off, Matthew had his friends from West End Secondary School, and the team name is Space Junk 9636, they came in and took some old parts we did not need anymore. This was especially a highlight because they are a new team, and to be able to give something we did not need that they might have was such an amazing opportunity! We were able to give old wood parts, metal, and a few electrical components. Although we had some new people join, the members who have already been on the team were able to teach the new BirchBots what was going on with the understanding that this would be complicated for them, but wanted them to have a deep understanding of what was going on. For example Alex was helping a new BirchBot member Ben, learn the code. We bonded with the other robotics team through shared experiences during long build sessions, where we exchanged tips and ideas. Collaborative problem-solving during competitions helped us connect on a deeper level, as we worked together to overcome technical challenges. Our mutual respect for each other’s skills grew as we cheered each other on, celebrating both successes and setbacks. By the end of the season, we had formed a strong friendship based on teamwork, trust, and a shared passion for robotics.Although it is not easy to learn this, Alex made sure Ben had a good understanding of what the code was about, and slowly, but surely Ben is now catching up to what is going on with the code. Here’s to celebrating teamwork, both originals and newcomers, and all the potential the new season holds! We can’t wait to see where this journey takes us. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our build and gear up for the challenges ahead!
